Unmissable ART Events in Barcelona and Beyond This Autumn

 
 
 

The only thing we love as much as ART itself, is getting to attend some of the best art fairs, design weeks and gallery openings. Most of the major international art events have either postponed to the Spring or radically reinvented the traditional model with a hybrid of online and socially distanced IRL events.

London-based art fair Frieze went completely digital in October and Art Basel have created futuristic Online Viewing Rooms. While most major galleries are closed throughout Europe, the Tate have a series of great online events throughout November.  

While nothing compares to the buzzy anticipation of walking into a space filled with exciting new art (and real life people), we’ve put together our guide to the best art events happening on and offline across Europe this Autumn.

Barcelona Design Week 

17-26th November 2020

Barcelona Design Week will bring together the best of the design world in the Catalan capital. The extensive week-long programme will feature over 120 activities across the city and online, including workshops, exhibitions, talks, open-door events and networking experiences. The activities are free, with many of the talks on Zoom. See the full programme  and register here
 

World Press Photo 2020  

14th November to 18th December 2020

Now in its 16th year, and always infinitely moving, the exhibition brings together the winners of the World Press Photo photography and photojournalism competitions. 
 

Tàpies At 30 

3rd October 2020 to 6th June 2021

To celebrate the Fundació’s 30th anniversary, this exhibition focuses on the period from 1953 to 1963, when Antoni Tàpies was in his thirties and created some of his most acclaimed work.
